The advent of GST has brought about countless queries and doubts among the general public. Contemplated to be the biggest tax reform, post-independence, GST will gradually blend seamlessly into our system. However, till then, few rumor mills will certainly upsurge, in order to bewilder the whole scenario. Such acts are customary and, have, will elope along every development induced in the society.
Recently, we published a blog post, regarding the quashing of some confounding myths revolving around GST, by revenue secretary Dr. Hasmukh Adhia. Continuing the saga, Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Mr. Kalraj Mishra, in a press conference debunked some rumors, revolving around the distress amongst small and medium traders regarding GST.
The Minister said, “GST is a very important tax reform. Small and medium industry should not be apprehensive about anything. We are doing workshops across the country to resolve all your issues”. While speaking to reporters at the sidelines of national workshop on Goods and Services tax (GST), he added that government is keen on resolving every issue with respect to GST, for this, cells have been set up for the industry to decongest the situation.
He also asked the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to give feedback to the ministry on GST as it will take that up with the GST Council.
